Band Together Erie
Creating Music With People On The Autism Spectrum
Formed in 2016 by Ron “Moondog” Esser and John Vento (Pittsburgh, Pa.). Band Together was organically created through the grass roots efforts of parents and caregivers.
Band Together believes that music has the power to unify the world.
We envision using music to inspire and enrich the lives of those on the autism spectrum, enabling integration with family, friends, and society as a whole.
Our upcoming events:
Autism-Friendly Open Mic
January 19, 2025 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm at Kellar’s Magic and Comedy Club
Band Together has created an opportunity for those on the spectrum to create and perform music.
From family friendly open stages, to mentorship and support, we want every individual to realize the joy of musical expression regardless of talent or skill level.

When Words Fail, Music Speaks.
Studies show what we already know: Music is the Magic!
The purpose of Band Together (a recognized 501 (c) 3 non profit organization) is to employ the power of music to engage youth on the autism spectrum and their families.
Music has the proven capacity to enhance social interactions, build and develop communication skills, and improve motor/sensory, emotional, and academic/cognitive functioning. PLUS it’s FUN!
Music brings us together. Fills our souls. And creates pathways to help those on the autism spectrum to build new skills.
The founders of Band Together have decades of experience in the music scene and in the non profit youth development world.
That knowledge coupled with a science based approach provides us with a solid foundation to provide programming.
